Earth Friendly credentials

I'm always mindful of our wellbeing, nature and our earth when I choose where to source ingredients and packaging materials. I use local suppliers whenever possible too. Here's a little about each element and how they travel to you:

The boxes are made from sustainably sourced material + some from recycled materials too; completely plastic free. They are recyclable, compostable + biodegradable.

The paper filler is made from 100% recycled material from a sustainable source. It is recyclable, compostable + biodegradable.

The tape looks like sellotape but is in fact plastic free. It's made with cellulose film + naturally-based glue, both derived from plant based renewable resources. It is compostable.

The gift message card is made from FSC certified paper card which is uncoated + recyclable, compostable + biodegradable.

The balm containers and lids are made with aluminium which is lightweight, so they take less energy to transport and are 100% recyclable. They do have a little liner of protective plastic in their lid which can't be avoided. For this reason I encourage them to be washed, dried and re-purposed when the balm is finished.

The balm ingredients are made using only pure organic plant extracted oils + beeswax, which are always Soil Association certified.

Traditional methods are used to hand craft all of the balms without machinery. And because they are undiluted they take up less space. This means smaller containers, which means using less raw materials, so less energy is used to produce them and less packaging + fuel is needed for their transportation.

The paper labels are made with sugarcane, hemp + linen. They are biodegradable including the adhesive and the ink used is vegan.
